Map check
Review of your current map and a datalog, a fuel and timing safety check, and a written list of changes.
Custom fuel and ignition maps built from your own datalogs. You flash, drive and send the log. I revise the map until the car is right, wherever you are.
Fuel and ignition tables only work when they match the parts on the car. These are the ones I ask about first.
Fuel, timing and boost mapped together for your turbo and wastegate.
K-series, B-series, D-series, F20C and more, from the real tables up.
Bigger injectors need scaling in the map before the first start.
Hondata, Honda Tuning Suite or Hondavert. You flash, I send the map.
The sensor behind every fuel change I make.
Charge air temperature decides how much timing the engine can take.
Review of your current map and a datalog, a fuel and timing safety check, and a written list of changes.
A full fuel and ignition map built for your car, with up to 3 datalog revisions and a clean idle and cold start.
For turbo and supercharger cars. Fuel, timing and boost mapped together, with up to 4 revisions and injector scaling.
One more log and one more revised map, for tunes that need extra rounds. Book it any time after your final map.
Tell me the car and the ECU and I will confirm how it can be tuned before you buy any hardware.
Earlier ECUs are tuned with a chip or a chip emulator instead of being flashed through the diagnostic port.
OBD2 cars are tuned by flashing the ECU with a tuning tool plugged into the car, with no chips to swap.
Newer cars communicate over CAN bus and need a tool that supports their ECU, so check support first.
Each round is one drive, one log and one revised map. Most of the work happens between rounds.
Send the car, mods, fuel and ECU platform. I confirm it can be tuned and what hardware you need.
I send a safe starting map. You flash it with your own tuning hardware and check the car idles and holds temperature.
Follow the logging routine I give you, then send back the datalog from a road or track you know is safe.
I adjust fuel and ignition from the log and return a new map. Repeat until the targets are met.
A last confirmation log, then the final map and a short note on what was changed.
A remote tune is only as good as the data. If a channel is missing from your log, the round gets repeated.
| Channel | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| RPM | Locates every cell |
| MAP (kPa) | Load axis for the tables |
| Wideband AFR | Fuel accuracy |
| Knock count | Ignition safety |
| Intake air temp | Heat soak and timing pull |
| Coolant temp | Warm-up and fan control |
| Injector duty | Fuel system headroom |
Yes. Without a wideband sensor feeding your tuning hardware, there is no way to see what the engine is actually running, so the map cannot be tuned safely from a distance.
The tuning hardware for your platform, a laptop to flash and log, and a car that runs well mechanically. I confirm the exact list when you send your details.
Somewhere legal and safe. Full throttle pulls belong on a track, private road or dyno day, never on public roads.
It depends on how quickly you can drive and send logs. Each revision usually takes a day or two on my side.
